Our Arxangel and Karera litter is 4 weeks old today and their little personalities are starting to develop. Everyone in the litter comes running when they hear someone nearby. They all want a ton of attention and of course, to play!! We are introducing new toys, sounds and encouraging the puppies to use their noses. They are now eating puppy mush in addition to nursing and we have introduced water. They have had their first bath and get their nails trimmed weekly. They have upgraded to actual dog collars (quick release) and now have a lot of teeth! They are use to being handled by our family and we have friends and other family members that come over to help socialize them with different people. The litter is also learning how to be clean by potting on the potty pads in the whelping box. We have observed several of the puppies walking over to the potty pads to relieve themselves. This is a huge milestone for us, woohoo! Everyone in this litter is gorgeous, we are very happy with the Arxangel x Karera combination. Today everyone will be weighed and have their second de-worming. Change of PlansDon't worry everyone, the change of plans doesn't involve our current litter. We are still planning to keep a little girl for IPO/IGP. Our change of plans involves additions to our breeding program. Greystoke's molars did not come in properly so we are discussing adding the POL female from his litter. Plans for her would be the same, she would be prepared for the show ring and eventually be sent out with a professional handler. We will post pictures of our little Argentina bomb shell when we get her.
We will also be adding another male to our program. I don't want to say too much until he gets here, but this guy is gorgeous! He is a combination of top American lines and Argentina lines. He will add much needed diversity to our program. I won't say who his sire is yet, but he is a top producer here in the U.S. and has been in the top 20. His dam is also out of a huge kennel in Argentina that regularly exports dogs to the U.S. and has many champions here. This kennel produced one of the most influential sires in the United States. We have some major plans for this boy. We will be preparing him for the show ring this summer and hope to send him out to nearby shows this fall. Next year, when he matures, he will be sent with a professional handler to be finished. He will also be tagging along to training with our local schutzhund club. If he has any working ability, we may also pursue that venue after he is done showing. We will see, the Euro lines are more known for preserving working ability. Stay tuned for our training progress as we work to get our new imports trained and out into the show ring.

AuthorWe are a doberman preservation breeder, breeding for conformation and working temperament. We participate in AKC and working events and do health testing on all of our adults prior to breeding. We do not mass produce and generally do have a wait list for all of our litters. We do work with new breeders who are interested in improving the breed. Archives
